Well founded was the Apostles fear!

The Corinthians, very much like today, had begun to abandon the gospel. The truth as it is in Christ alone. That message which has never been well received around the world, from it's inception til now;

Unless the message was shaved off at it's cutting edge, softened and manipulated by sophist and spin mysters whose goal was to subvert men and woman, instead of confronting them with the plain teachings of the Sovereignty of God, His electing love, Christ particular and effectual redemption, mans complete and irreparable corruption, the Spirits clear decisive, and successful mission, to seek and save lost and hell bound sinners, chosen in Christ, before the World began. 2tim 1:9 "Halleluyah What a Savior!!"

But! The Corinthians were quickly corrupted by the leaven of intellectualism, a foreshadow of the Roman error. That human wisdom rooted in the devils doctrine. Gen 3:1-7 Corinth accepted false teachers who taught licentious doctrines causing toleration of hideous and shameful errors, as fornication, adultery and drunkenness (In the name of Jesus). All practices which are fruits of false dead ungodly teachers not rooted in Christ. Remember! Idolatry (false doctrine) always leads to immorality Rom 1: 22-32

Look at what the Church is becoming. An adrogenous, effeminate spectac1e, full of chaotic emotions and aimless rhetoric.

The fruit of denying the gospels power. Cor 5:1-8

They also received the legalist who beat them into spiritual subordination, driving them into mystical pagan experiences which obscured faith, in the finished work of Christ on the Cross as the sole grounds of their life and hope. 2cor 11:13-21

Today ? It is your contemplative prayer, your ecumenical babeling tongues, your voices, dream and visions, of which the prophets warned Jer 23:1-32

This has undermined the authority of the Word of God, in most synagogues, as the sole revelation and voice of God to the Church today. But the elect still hear His voice. 1cor 11:9

Yes Paul was well founded on His fear! For Corinth is but the Church without walls. A Church which has abandoned the foundation of God, 1cor 3:10, and is soon to embrace mystery Babylon and return to legal works religion and pagan blood sacrifices.

Why? For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Haven't you noticed? that no one really cares about Who Jesus is, What Jesus did, Who He did it for, And where He is now? No one cares about the true gospel. Not even so-called Calvinist! Their busy trying to figure out how to make their Church numbers increase, instead of increasing preaching and teaching HIM!

Like sleeping dogs, loving to sleep, slumber, while eternity bound souls are falling into hell Is 56;10-12

"PAUL CARED!" Paul most certainly cared. He did not tire of warning, men and women to watch, and to examine, "has the gospel slipped from your hearing?"

Has the true gospel been stolen away? By the fads of contemporary issues? Personal devotion ? Social issues? Politics? Domestic concerns? Money? Power? Unity?

All wiles of the Devil to cause you to be "led away from the simplicity the singular commitment and call to His glory and grace and gospel, alone" BEWARE! Mt 4:1-11

You may already be so sleep, you cannot even feel your apostasy from HIM! What used to disturb you, is gone. What used to trouble you, gone. What used to really thrill your heart, make you cry, fill you with joy and resolve, revelations of HIM, gone! You probably are dead while you live. You were warned. You were warned!

Not by your local minister, but by Paul and the Word of God, and By the Spirit and the gospel. 2cor 6:16-18
